The key findings of the Coakes Report are:
Trouble Time - defined as from 11pm-3am. Confirmed as the key time for trouble on weekends, accounting for about two-thirds of recorded incidents.
Just 2 percent of incidents occur from 5am-6am. The “Liquor Control Amendment Bill 2010” seeks to force nightclubs to close at 5am instead of 6am - which, according to data, would be ineffectual in tackling anti-social behaviour.
In Northbridge, six venues account for more than 5 percent of total incidents; between them they account for 64 percent of all incidents from 9pm-6am on weekends.
